Hey guys!! I haven't really posted anything lately...so here I am again! Today's post is about how to use the Hamster Hideout Forum. So first, you need to make an account (if you haven't already) and just sign in. You will fill out your info and all that stuff (some of it is optional). Once you are finished with that, you can add a profile picture. I suggest when you are searching for a picture on Google Images, make sure to go to "search settings", click on "sizes", then click "icon". That way, you will find a picture that fits a lot more easily. Once you're done with that, you can post a new topic in the "Ham-Ha! I'm New!" section. You can type in whatever you want there. People may say hi and welcome to the Hamster Hideout Forum! And if you'd like, you can post other topics in the other sections or post in other people's topics that they have made. For now, you do not have very much access to some areas, such as updating your status. Once you have posted 50 posts, you will be able to get access to these places. Of course, this doesn't mean that you should spam every single topic!! That's all I really have to say now...If you have any questions, comment below or PM one of the moderators on the Hamster Hideout Forum. Here's the link to the website: http://hamsterhideout.com/forum/ Oh and if you want to add me or check out my page, here's the link to my profile: http://hamsterhideout.com/forum/user/27542-i%E2%99%A5%EF%B8%8Fhammies/ Have a hamtastic day!

Hamster Cages
So I wanted to talk to you guys about hamster cages. Many people think that pet store cages are perfectly fine for hamsters but sadly, they aren't. One of the bad types of cages are the Crittertrail cages with the fancy tubes and all that stuff. They are obviously too small for a hamster, even for small dwarf hamsters, unless you connect 4 of those cages together. The minimum area of the floorspace for the cage should be 360 sq in. And if possible, you can put your hamster in an even bigger cage which is absolutely wonderful. Also, all of the other pet store cages are also still too small so you can go to the fish section and buy a 20 gallon and keep your hamster in it! Or, you can make a DIY cage! The pictures below are some good examples of hamster cages (they are not my photos):
